Chris
Wilkinson
Born in 1958, Chris was educated at King’s College,
Taunton and Nottingham University where he gained a BSc Honours Degree
in Materials Science.
He joined BAe Systems in 1980 and has held a wide range of technical and
senior operational roles across different aerospace sectors within the
organisation; from space to executive jets.
Chris’ current role is Director for Engineering at one of BAe Systems’
business units with operational centres in the North West of England and
Scotland. He spends much of his working week commuting between these UK
locations, as well as travelling to operational centres abroad.
He has attended senior management leadership programmes at Ashridge, London
Business School and at Insead. He is a qualified Chartered Engineer and
besides serving as a trustee for WHCS since 1998, he is also a non-executive
director of several regional charity-based organisations linked to healthcare,
technology and manufacturing.
Chris is married with one son and lives in Heswall, Wirral. Outside his
busy professional career, his main interests include golf and cycling.
