You may remember in our May newsletter a piece about a little girl called Olivia who had decided to raise funds for the Centre.
This was as a thank you to us for helping to look after her mum who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Olivia, just 8 years old, had set herself the challenge of a sponsored climb up Mount Snowdon along with eight companions.
Well, we are delighted to be able to announce that the climb was a great success and Olivia and her friends were able to raise the incredible amount of £5,600 to donate to WHCS.
On 7 July, we hosted a fun event at the Centre in recognition of the fantastic achievement of these amazing young mountain climbers! Olivia presented us with a cheque for the money raised and we presented all the children with a Certificate of Achievement and a medal. Olivia was also presented with a trophy for inspiring other young people.
Everyone at the Centre wants to say a huge WELL DONE and THANK YOU to Olivia and her friends for what they did and for raising an incredible amount of money to help us with our funding.
If you would like to hold a fundraising event for Wirral Holistic Care Services, please contact us for details about how we can help you set it up and promote it.
